Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

ProSwipe Inc. ("ProSwipe," "we," "us," or "our") operates the ProSwipe mobile application (the "App"), available on iOS and Android. ProSwipe is a marketplace that connects clients with freelance service professionals ("Pros"), allowing users to create accounts, browse and swipe to discover Pros, send job applications, manage bookings, and process payments.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. By creating an account or otherwise using ProSwipe, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information in order to provide and improve our services:

  • Account & profile information: your name, email address, and profile photo.
  • Location data: your location, used to surface nearby Pros and relevant jobs (see Section 8).
  • Device & notification data: push notification tokens and related device identifiers used to deliver notifications.
  • Activity data: your job and booking history, applications sent, and interactions within the App.
  • Payment-related information: details necessary to facilitate and record transactions between clients and Pros.
We use Supabase to handle authentication and to store your account and application data securely on our behalf.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you when you sign in;
  • Display Pro profiles, power the swipe-to-discover experience, and match clients with relevant Pros;
  • Enable job applications, bookings, and communication between clients and Pros;
  • Process and record payments related to your bookings;
  • Send transactional and service-related push notifications;
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the App and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • Analyze usage to improve and develop new features; and
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Between users: when you apply for a job or book a Pro, relevant profile and booking details are shared with the other party to complete the transaction.
  • Service providers: we share data with trusted third parties that provide infrastructure and functionality for the App, including Supabase (authentication and database) and OneSignal (push notification delivery), as well as payment processors.
  • Legal compliance: we may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ProSwipe, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. We may retain certain information after account closure where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain accurate financial and transaction records. When information is no longer required, we will delete or anonymize it in a secure manner.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your information;
  • Request a portable copy of your data; and
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can update much of your profile information directly within the App. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@proswipe.app. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

7. Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications to keep you informed about job applications, booking updates, messages, and other relevant activity. We use OneSignal to deliver these notifications, and a device push notification token is collected and processed for this purpose.

You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings. Doing so will not prevent you from using the App, but you may miss time-sensitive updates about your bookings and applications.

8. Location Data

ProSwipe uses location data to show you nearby Pros, surface relevant local jobs, and improve matching between clients and professionals. We request location access through your device's permission system, and you may grant or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

If you choose not to share location data, certain location-dependent features may be limited or unavailable, but you can continue to use other parts of the App.

9. Children's Privacy

ProSwipe is not intended for, and may not be used by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@proswipe.app.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of ProSwipe after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
